All through the making of Turning 30!!!,
one suspected that there was something special brewing between Gul
Panag and Purab Kohli. The speculation reached its peak when the story
started making rounds about how a passionate kiss between the duo just
went on endlessly even as director Alankrita called 'cut'.
Well seems Alankrita's call for 'cut' wasn't restricted to the antics in
front of camera but also off it with reasons that were more personal
rather than professional.Says a source from the unit of this Prakash Jha production, "While Gul
is being labelled as a home breaker here,
the fact is that she has nothing to do with the trouble that Purab and his wife Yamini are facing in their marital life. On the other hand, there are all the indications that it is Alankrita and Purab who actually have eyes only for each other."
Now this piece of news comes as a shocker because young Alankrita never came across as a woman who could possibly be going around with the leading man in her debut film, especially so since she was neck deep down making Turning 30!!! which is a make or break affair for her.
"Well, it is times like these when people need support coming their way and Alankrita got in that plenty with Purab around", continues the source, "But then it won't be fair to label Alankrita as a home breaker now. Everyone involved is a mature individual here. There are enough indications that Purab had troubles in his home front much before he started interacting closely with either Alankrita or Gul."
While one waits to know the real truth behind the authenticity of these recent developments, the unit vouches for the fact that the young director and actor are indeed smitten with each other.
"You can sense that; it is way too obvious. Of course Purab is chivalrous and all with presence of so many women around all through the making of the film. However, it is a known fact that Gul is already going around with someone who doesn't belong to Bollywood. Right through the shooting of the film, the city tours and promotion, Purab has been on Alankrita's side."
"The two of them have been inseparable. In fact in the recently held bike ride at the DU, Purab had Alankrita sit behind him instead of Gul, his leading lady", he adds.
Well, is that good enough to contribute to the 'special something' or just an adage to 'being good friends'?
