Prachi Desai shows up in a Tamil motion picture

The charming young bubbly actress, Prachi Desai, better known as Bani Dixit or Bani Walia of “Kasamh Se” serial is going to be launched in the Tamil film industry soon. This 22 years old actress from Gujrat started her career in showbiz with a modelling workshop.

Soon after, she went for the auditions of Balaji’s “Kasamh Se”, and bagged the leading role in the serial, when she was still a teenager. In 2007, she participated in the dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2″ and emerged as a winner.

Farhan Akhtar, spotted this dancing diva, and immediately cast her in his film “Rock On!!” in 2008.The film was a huge hit, and Prachi became a film star from a television star over-night.

Later, she acted in “Life Partner” and “Once Upon A Time in Mumbai”. She is also the face of a popular cosmetic skincare brand ‘Neutrogena’. This graceful actress is going to venture into South-Indian films.

She will be appearing in an action film opposite the Tamil superstar Arun Vijay. She is very thrilled about her debut in the Tamil film industry, and despite a number of South Indian films being offered to her, she declined all other projects, except this one. Prachi feels that this movie will give her ample scope to make a mark in the industry, and therefore chose this untitled flick as her launching pad.
