They Found Some Thing, But Where

They Found Some Thing, But Where: Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra are still recovering from the Income-Tax raids that took place at their residences on Monday. It is rumoured that the search that was conducted on these  Bollywood divas and their secretaries/agents simultaneously yielded some best-kept secrets.
The talk is that PC reportedly has a lot of property in Mumbai; and Kat, of course, is said to allegedly have some big investments overseas.Kat's chartered accountant issued a general media statement saying, "My client is disturbed by the speculative reports circulating in the media that she has disclosed unaccounted income running into crores and unaccounted lockers were found. The fact of the matter is that no unaccounted income has been declared by her. Katrina is fully co-operating with the IT Dept, whom she holds in high regard.''

Of course, what the paparazzi are really tickled about is the flip side of the IT raids. Talk is that Shahid Kapoor, dressed in shorts, his hair tousled, and rubbing sleep from his eyes, is the one who actually opened the door at PC's home.

Taking this as a reference point, a trade source quickly recalls the jokes being made about what was found at various B-town celebrity homes when the IT dropped by. It is said that at international star Kabir Bedi's home the only thing the IT found was a lot of wood; at music composer Bappi Lahiri's bungalow they found nothing. Reason: Bappida wore all the gold on his person.

At the legendary Kishore Kumar's Juhu bungalow the IT officials are said to have found currency in the mattress; and at a top 70s actor-turned 90's politician's South Mumbai home, there was currency stashed away in the false ceiling.

Recently actor-producer Arbaaz Khan's office was raided post the super-success of Dabangg. And the officers apparently wondered why there was a lot less income on paper than all that was said in the exaggerated media reports. The reply to that, according to an insider is that Arbaaz reportedly has to yet receive some of the profits from the film corporation that bankrolled Dabangg.
